Technicien – Water Electrolysis

Functie

• You will be joining the Chemical branch of our client, one of the world's leading producers of fluorochemicals and fluorochemical materials. You will be based in their new laboratories at the Technovation Centre in Gosselies (Belgium).
• Their objective is to support the European Green Deal by expanding hydrogen related developments and to become number one in Europe thanks to the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM). It is one of only four manufacturers of this membrane in the world. They are also active in the field of coatings and cosmetics
  
  Purpose of Role – main tasks
• You will report to the lab project manager who will communicate the priorities of the experimental line up. Training will be provided by AGC to support the candidate during his onboarding
  
  - You will perform all field work necessary to operate the electrolyzers. This means
• Preparing catalyst ink, decal film and catalyst coated membrane(CCM).
• Assembling the lab cell hardware for operation, handling the electrolyzer with computer, performing electrochemical measurements
• Conducting all operational analytical work (eg XRF measurement for making decal film)
• Conducting all utility related management (basic knowledge to handle utilities: water, airco, electricity, heating, maintenance)
• You will organise the raw data for easy handling by the rest of the team including the project manager
• You will be involved in training other operators
  

Jouw profiel

• Bachelor in chemistry or similar experience.
  Knowledge of chemistry (molar calculation, material balance principles) is indispensable
• Ability to perform field work reliably and safely
• Knowledge of excel to present, extract or analyse raw data
• Technical report writing
• Lab experience is nice to have
• Ability to communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is indispensable: training and daily communication will take place in English
• Strict respect of all safety matters

• Onderzoekers, instituten, ondernemingen adviseren en wetenschappelijke steun bieden
• Wetenschappelijke, technologische, technische, reglementaire, … informatie opvolgen en actualiseren
• Het verloop en de vooruitgang van wetenschappelijke experimenten en observaties leiden en controleren
• Een onderzoeksprogramma of –project uitwerken en coördineren
• Octrooien formaliseren en ontwikkelen

Aanbod

• Début souhaité en mai
• salaire mensuel brut entre 3000 et 3500 euros/mois suivant l'expérience et des tickets restaurant pour un horaire de 8h/j.
• intérim de 3 à 4 mois – puis CDD (durée non connue) – ensuite, CDI.
